SaaS Software Is About To Be Decimated

I opened the show with something I’d been reading in the Wall Street Journal and New York Times: SaaS software is going to be decimated this year. The reason is simple. These products were built by human beings at a time when software was expensive and licensed. Now AI has changed the economics completely – what used to require a dev team and six figures can be built in hours. And here’s the thing: you have the same thing to offer that I have to offer. Client 1: Construction Industry – Hudson Group

Michelangelo runs a construction company. I met him at a meetup where I was showing MinuteLaunch on my phone. A joint venture built on a platform we both own – not renting someone else’s.

Client 5: The Cyrano Concept – Expert Wingman

I built “Cyrano” – like Cyrano de Bergerac. A Chrome extension embodied with the specific knowledge of a real human expert. It grabs context, provides coached response options, handles cross-language translation. The concept goes way beyond any single use case – imagine any expert’s full knowledge available as a pop-out Chrome extension or mobile app, trained on their real experience and opinions, available on demand.

The piece de resistance: a remodeling visualization tool where a homeowner uploads room photos and gets AI-generated before-and-after renders with a slider comparison. Lead capture feeds directly into FluentCRM. A remodeling company would have paid hundreds of thousands to build this. We did it in hours.

The Armpit Curve

We are in the “armpit curve” – the gap between the SaaS world we’ve been living in and the new way of building custom software with AI. When you show this stuff to clients, they say “take my money, please.” Go out and sell it. When you show it to them, they get it immediately. Because once you start doing these things, you’re going to be cranking them out yourself.
