Sunday Funday: Real Client Problem-Solving – Migrating LearnDash to Static HTML Pages

It’s Sunday Funday! This is a special day when I usually meet with a client and talk about fixing their problems, and I share it with everybody. Today I’m working with longtime client Dallas Vietty, an accordion teacher and coach, to solve a real challenge: migrating his LearnDash courses to fast, lightweight static HTML pages using Cursor and the MinuteLaunch Canvas Block. This is real problem-solving in real-time.

“We’re moving from 125 plugins down to 2-3 plugins that do 95% of what you need. The future is simpler, faster, and more human.”

The Challenge: LearnDash to Static HTML Migration

Dallas came to me with a common problem: his LearnDash courses were slow, complex, and hard to maintain. He wanted to migrate them to fast, lightweight static HTML pages that would load instantly and be easier to manage. Using Cursor with the MinuteLaunch MCP, we tackled this challenge together in real-time.

The solution? Export the LearnDash courses, feed the content to Cursor, and create beautiful single-page HTML layouts that can be embedded directly in WordPress using the Canvas Block. Simple, fast, and infinitely more maintainable than a complex LearnDash setup.

Canvas Block 3.14: The iframe Fix

One of the key issues we solved was the iframe stripping problem. Dallas needed to embed SoundSlice players (accordion lesson videos) in his course pages, but WordPress was stripping out the iframe tags. The new Canvas Block 3.14 update fixes this completely – iframe tags are now preserved, so embedded players work perfectly.

This is a game-changer for course creators who need to embed third-party content. No more workarounds, no more broken embeds – just clean, working iframes exactly where you need them.

Admin Menu Editor: Organize Plugins Alphabetically

During our session, I showed Dallas a simple but powerful tool: Admin Menu Editor. This plugin lets you organize your WordPress admin menu alphabetically, which might sound trivial, but it’s a massive productivity boost. No more hunting through a chaotic menu – everything is exactly where you expect it to be.

When you’re working with dozens of plugins, this kind of organization saves hours of frustration. It’s the little things that make the biggest difference in daily workflow.

MinuteLaunch Plugin Manager: Self-Updating Feature

I also demonstrated the new self-updating feature in MinuteLaunch Plugin Manager. Instead of manually checking for updates across all your plugins, you can now just click “Check for Updates” and the system handles everything automatically. It’s one less thing to think about, one less task on your to-do list.

From 125 Plugins to 2-3: The Future of WordPress

One of the most exciting discussions we had was about the future of WordPress simplicity. We’re moving from 125 plugins down to 2-3 plugins that do 95% of what you need. Here’s the vision:

  • FluentMCP (becoming MinuteLaunch MCP) – Unified AI control with full Canvas Block knowledge
  • Canvas Block – Beautiful HTML5 pages embedded directly in WordPress
  • Simple Site – Complete marketing site functionality
  • FluentCRM – Email marketing and automation

That’s it. Four plugins (or even fewer) that replace 125. Simpler, faster, more maintainable, and infinitely more powerful when combined with AI.

Evergreen Content & Dynamic Course Creation

We also discussed the power of evergreen content – content without logos, without branding, that can be infinitely repurposed. Instead of static LearnDash courses, imagine AI-powered dynamic courses that personalize themselves for each student. That’s where we’re heading.

The future isn’t about building more complex systems. It’s about building simpler systems that do more, powered by AI that understands your business and your students.

Human Relationships: The Only Competitive Advantage

Perhaps the most important point we discussed was the value of human relationships in business. In 2025, when AI can do almost anything, the only real competitive advantage is the relationships you build with your clients, your students, and your community.

That’s what Sunday Funday is really about – not just solving technical problems, but building relationships. Dallas has been a client for years, and that relationship is worth more than any plugin or tool. It’s the human connection that makes everything else possible.
