Switch From HubSpot To MinuteLaunch & Save $18K Per Year!

It’s Friday Office Hours! Today I’m breaking down one of the biggest financial drains on most businesses: outdated CRM platforms like HubSpot. If you’re paying roughly $18,000 per year for a platform you don’t own, that’s getting more expensive every time your business grows, this episode is essential watching. I’ll show you a real-world example of how one client migrated from HubSpot to MinuteLaunch in ONE DAY and saved $18,000+ per year while getting a better, more modern platform they actually own.

“HubSpot was revolutionary 20 years ago. It’s not anymore. They’re just taking advantage of people not knowing there’s a better way.”

Why HubSpot Bleeds Your Business Dry

HubSpot (and similar SaaS CRMs) are costing you roughly $18,000 a year. Here’s why:

You don’t own your data. The platform is clunky and complicated. It gets more expensive every time your business grows. They charge per contact, per feature, per everything. And most importantly? Nobody uses the platform to its full potential because it’s too difficult to manage.

One of my clients was paying $1,800/month to HubSpot ($21,600 per year). She was using it for basically just collecting emails and sending out basic weekly emails – one email per week. That’s it. HubSpot was literally ripping her off because they knew she wasn’t using the platform. She didn’t know how to use it. Nobody on her team knew how to use it. And yet they were still charging her $1,800 a month.

The HubSpot Pricing Model Explained

Let me break down the actual numbers. HubSpot’s pricing for individuals starts at $890/month for their “Professional” tier with just 2,000 contacts. That’s it. Two thousand.

Want more contacts? Prepare to pay. If you slide that contact slider up from 2,000 to 22,000 contacts, you’re adding $250 per month for every 5,000 contacts. So if you have 45,000 active customers (which isn’t even that much), you’d be paying thousands extra per month just for the privilege of having more people in your database.

For businesses, it’s even worse. Add the Sales Hub Pro at $450/month, throw in the support tier at $300/month, and suddenly you’re at $1,800/month before you even scale. It’s backwards thinking. It’s like going to Vegas and giving them your bank account, credit card, and saying “just keep charging me for everything I do here.”

The MinuteLaunch Alternative

What if you could do EVERYTHING HubSpot does – unlimited contacts, unlimited emails, full automation, landing pages, forms, segmentation, automation sequences – PLUS a lot more – for just $197 a month instead? And you own it all.

That’s MinuteLaunch. An all-in-one business and marketing solution that actually belongs to you.

Here’s what you get: Unlimited contacts (no per-contact fees ever), unlimited emails, full automation with a visual builder, email sequences and broadcasts, contact scoring and segmentation, pipeline and deal tracking, landing pages with AI builder, forms, and everything hosted on your own WordPress site that you control. Mobile-friendly. AI-enabled for 2026 and beyond. And you own it all.

The Real Migration Story

The fear everyone has: “Moving off HubSpot will take 6 months and destroy my business.” False.

One of my clients migrated from HubSpot to MinuteLaunch in ONE DAY and saved $18,000+ per year. Not 6 months of frustration. One day. Export contacts, set up MinuteLaunch, rebuild landing pages with AI (takes 2 hours instead of 2 weeks), test the automations, switched DNS, and cancelled HubSpot.

Now they’re fully AI-enabled with a simple-to-use, mobile-friendly solution that they actually own. Their contact list has grown to 22,000+. On HubSpot, their bill would be over $2,000 per month by now. On MinuteLaunch, they’re still paying $197/month.

Why Ownership Matters in 2026

Here’s the thing about owning your platform: If MinuteLaunch disappeared tomorrow, they would still have everything. Their WordPress site, their contacts, their content, their automations. It’s all theirs. They can export it, move it, or run it themselves.

With HubSpot? You’re locked in. All your data lives inside their system. If you leave, good luck getting everything out. You’re trapped.

That’s what ownership actually means. And in 2026, when AI is becoming more powerful and marketing automation is becoming more critical to business success, you absolutely need to own your platform.

00:00 – Introduction

Hey, good morning, everybody. It’s Spence. It is Friday, January ninth, twenty twenty six. It’s going to be a while till I get used to saying twenty twenty six. I hope everybody’s doing well today. I’ve got a really awesome show lined up because I have so many new developments, so many things to share today.

05:00 – Setting Up for the Demo

What I’m gonna do today is explain the premise. I have many real world clients, but I have a situation that I’m gonna explain that’s exemplary of the marketing that I’m going to be doing, which is outcome-based marketing, where you can do the same thing with these tools. I also want to explain how over the last three and a half weeks, the vacation time, I was able to use real world clients, real world interaction with the software to refocus and present the materials of what this does, what the benefits are, what the features are in a way that I think reflects the modern marketing of our world.

10:00 – The Plugin Stack Revolution

Let me show you something. This is after what July, August, September, October, November, December – six months. The whole idea that arose from the hot tub has turned into a simple single plugin, modern interface. Instead of your typical stack of a hundred and twenty-two plugins, all that you really need to make this work is the plugin manager. That’s it. One plugin manager. I have the minute launch canvas block which is included. I have the fluent SMTP, which acts as the mail person. And I have the Fluent CRM. That’s the whole stack now.

57:41 – The HubSpot Client Story

Let’s go back to the HubSpot part. So here’s what happened with my client. My client was using HubSpot and they were charging her and her company and she was doing nothing with us. Literally a base cost of fifteen hundred a month plus three hundred a month to sit and watch YouTube videos with somebody from HubSpot. Eighteen hundred dollars a month. She was using it for basically just collecting emails and sending out email like once a week, like a really basic rudimentary thing. But nobody knew how to use it. Nobody did anything awesome with it. And the HubSpot people were just ripping her off because they knew she wasn’t doing anything with it. And yet they were still charging her eighteen hundred a month.

59:00 – The HubSpot Pricing Breakdown

This is not even unusual. If you go to HubSpot, and by the way, Dharmesh Shah, brilliant entrepreneur. This was a tool from twenty years ago that has outgrown, in my opinion, its value proposition because now they’re just taking advantage of people being suckers and not knowing that you can do this better, cheaper, faster in different ways. So if you go here to their pricing, HubSpot. It’s just such a joke to me. I see the starter starts at eight ninety a month for your basic professional. Two thousand contacts. That’s it. Two thousand for nine hundred a month. And then if you want to shell out thirty six hundred a month, oh, you get the privilege of five more seats and you get ten thousand.

61:00 – Per-Contact Pricing Explained

They also limit you the credits that you can use for various automations. So it quite literally is like going to Vegas and giving them your bank account, your credit card and saying, don’t mind, just keep charging me for everything I do here. This is ridiculous. If you go even to the individual though it’s the same nonsense because if you look at the professional, the professional is the only thing that means anything. A thousand marketing contacts and you don’t even get all of the actual high-end tools when you go to professional. And you talk to sales or you change the number of contacts as soon as you slide that slider, look at where this goes. You’re adding another two twenty five a month, two hundred a month, one seventy five if you go up to from two thousand to twenty two thousand, you’re adding two hundred and fifty dollars for every five thousand people.

65:00 – The Brevo Comparison

If I had twenty thousand emails on Brevo, it’s twenty six dollars a month. If I had twenty thousand emails on HubSpot, guess I, I’m assuming it’s multiplied this times four, that’s a thousand dollars extra email plus the base. I’d be like at eighteen hundred to two thousand dollars. It’s just tragic, it’s tragic. So the takeaway here is this tool from twenty years ago is trying to trap you in their system and charge you for everything you do.

85:00 – The MinuteLaunch Solution

What I’m doing is by making YouTube videos, like today’s video, creating content that shows the financial reality. When you’re using HubSpot and spending eighteen thousand dollars, what are you talking about? When you switch to MinuteLaunch, suddenly you’ve got unlimited everything for just one ninety seven a month. That’s outcome-based marketing. That’s what people need to see.

112:49 – Content Strategy

Here’s the one that inspired today. I switched from HubSpot to WordPress. Here’s what happened to my eighteen thousand dollar bill. And it’s a story based on the true thing about what I’m telling you today. And it gives the comparison. This would get people interested. I’m using HubSpot and I’m spending eighteen thousand dollars. What are you talking about? So think about this whole concept, you can take the strategies of other really well-known marketers, combine it with a matrix of features and benefits applicable to your clients from minute launch capabilities, look at a hundred different, two hundred different potential competitors that they might be using the products of and then create here’s the grid CRM, money saved, pick a confederate, it’s HubSpot. Now I’ve got a piece of content which by the way, I put this up yesterday, but save, eighteen thousand, HubSpot.
